BOI project progress reports move to quarterly, with a 30-day window
BOI notification ป.8/2569 puts progress reporting for promoted projects on a quarterly cycle. The quarters end in March, June, September and December, and each report is due within 30 days of the quarter end. This replaces the looser arrangement that applied before.
01What it means for you
File late and your promotion privileges are suspended, which stalls duty-free imports and the related systems along with them. Miss the report twice in a row and the promotion itself may be revoked. If your project is bringing in equipment right now, put file before the end of the month following each quarter end on the schedule.
- You hold a BOI promotion certificate
- You have machinery or raw materials being imported duty-free, or planned to be
- The last quarter has ended and the progress report for it is still not filed
If any one of these applies to you, you most likely fall inside the scope of the new rule. The 30 days after quarter end is a hard window, and missing it carries over into duty-free imports and other privileges you rely on. Ask an adviser to check this quarter's filing status against your own approval papers, and put the end of the month following quarter end on the schedule.
