Policy update
Thai staff ratio eased for semiconductor and electronics projects
In short
BOI announcement ป.4/2569 relaxes the Thai staff ratio for semiconductor, advanced electronics (including PCB) and high-precision machinery projects. The relaxation covers only high-skill positions that are genuinely in short supply in Thailand, and it runs for at most 3 years from the date of approval.

01What it means for you
Electronics and precision manufacturing projects have more room to bring engineers over from China. Operator-level positions are a different matter: for those you still have to show first that the role cannot be filled locally. Design the staffing plan by job category, and keep the two kinds of positions apart in it.
